Patricia Caicedo is a leading concert soprano who has performed to critical acclaim in South America, North America and Europe. Following her passion for the Latin American and Spanish Art Song, she brings to audiences a combination of familiar works by Ginastera and Guastavino and undiscovered gems that she discovers through her own research.
The results are doubly exciting: a world-class voice sharing exciting but unfamiliar music –all to enchanted audiences. Caicedo’s musicianship and choice of songs may be exceeded only by her charisma and ability to win over audiences.
Audiences at recent concerts in United States, Denmark, Canada and Spain were effusive and she will be performing in Europe, South America and North America throughout 2005- 2007 at such important venues as the Royal Festival Hall in London, Festival Iberoamericano de las artes de Puerto Rico, Festival de música contemporánea del Salvador, Auditorio de Zaragoza and the International Voice Teachers convention in Vancouver, Canada, among many other venues.
Caicedo offers a variety of concert programs, her concert selections focus on her specialty, the Latin American and Spanish Art Song (click here to see several recent concert programs), but she is able to perform from the Classical opera repertory, as well. She has an extensive repertory ranging from Early music to contemporary works by Ibero American composers.
