"Books & Roses” to celebrate the World Book and Copyright Day and Sant Jordi, the Patron Saint of Catalonia.
The Catalan Institute of America is holding an event at the Barnes & Noble’s store at the Upper East Side in New York on Sunday May 1th to celebrate the World Book and Copyright Day and the tradition of "Sant Jordi", with the participation of UNESCO and the Delegation of the Government of Catalonia to the United States.
Featuring soprano Patricia Caicedo and pianist Max Lifchtz performing Catalan songs by Toldrá, Mompou and Morera.
