What happens when we understand music not only as art, but as something that acts on the body, emotions, identity, and health?
Patricia Caicedo brings her interdisciplinary work as a physician, musicologist, and musician to Johns Hopkins Hospital for a lecture exploring the connections between music, health, and medicine. Drawing from her research and her book We Are What We Listen To, she will examine how music shapes individual and social well-being and why the arts matter within contemporary conversations about health.
The lecture will be presented live at Johns Hopkins Hospital and will also be accessible online.
